• onthetrails has an open tech position in Sherman, just North of Anna.


• drax0r has been training to be a mixed-martial arts "cage fighter" and I've been promoting an Exhibition Fight in my backyard - so far the response has been positive and we're going to have quite a turnout. I'm going to buy a bunch of folding chairs and we're all going to take turns smacking him with them. Please let me know if you're interested in fighting drax0r for training purposes, or showing up to watch the scrimmage.


• For those of you who don't know drax0r he's like the Nacho Libre of UFC. In that regard, if anyone has a luchador mask or stretchy-pants we can borrow for the fight, please bring them.

Rather than risk my backyard fence being damaged by drax0r throwing someone into it, and given that the lots are vacant all around my house, onthetrails suggested that we use 6-inch resin decorative landscape edging as a "cage."

Wow, cool. Fionna and I have been sparring in kung fu class, I'll have to fight him next time I see him. He's going to kick my ass, but it would be fun and I would learn a lot from it.

Nothing has surprised me more this year than my wife suggesting we have a garage party in Anna this year.

If that happens, I'll do my best to make it a Mixed Martial Arts event. And don't be surprised if you find you're on par with our dear drax0r. What you lack in sheer weight and strength you will no doubt make up for in speed, agility and most importantly, training. drax0r has no practical application of his skills, which is what I'm attempting to provide him.

Sweet! I come from a wrestling background, so it'll be interesting to see how those styles match up.

That was the original point of the UFC to begin with - to take the best practitioners of various arts and then put them together to figure out the superior martial arts.

These days guys pretty much all come in knowing boxing/thai kickboxing, wrestling, and BJJ.
