BAM!

At the St. Louis zoo this weekend, it was packed. And with people of varying ages and socio-economic backgrounds. Of all the thousands of people there, I was among the few under 40 who didn't have a tattoo. When asked why I don't have a tattoo, I usually explain that that I wanted a way to express my individuality and make me unique. I get odd looks sometimes, because that's why most people do get tattoos. The funny thing is, by doing so, they become the majority, and just like everyone else. Funny how that works.

Picked up Alien Resurrection today.

Grilled perfect salmon for dinner, and had a marvelous Kansan Spatelese with it. I hate questions such as, "If you were stranded on a desert island and could only have one [fill in the blank] for the rest of your life, what would it be?" I hate these because I am such a diverse person, and I know whatever I chose I would eventually become disenchanted with over time. Unlike most people however, I have had enough variety in some things, that I know exactly what I would choose in some catagories.

SWEET! Confirmation at 2228 hours that my Bear McCreary autographed soundtrack is ON IT'S WAY!!! Critics have called his last one (Season One) a score, and this one, an album. Apparently its much richer in depth than his last one. My review of the preview tracks can be found here. I await with eager anticipation.

I love the comment about not having a tattoo. I will use that in the future as I too, have opted to keep my glorious naked body unmarked...:-)

Now, I'm not going to go so far as to say my naked body is, "glorious" (hasn't been, really since I left the Air Force) but I think I would view any mark upon it as an imperfection. Just my personal view, about me. I don't look down upon people who choose to get, for example, the Maker's Mark logo tattooed on them for the right reasons.



Superladies, they're always trying to tell you their secret identity. Think it'll strengthen the relationship, or something like that. I say: girl, I don't want to know about your mild-mannered alter ego. You say that you're a... Ultra Mega Lightning Babe or something like that, that's all right with me. I'm good. I'm good.

We get in trouble all the time for inflections which are not passed on through the written word. The answer of course is to overcompensate - which again can sometimes backfire. I am most often accused of being abrasive when I'm trying to illustrate absurdity by being absurd but it really isn't a perfect forum.

I was in the United Kingdom stationed at Royal Air Force Alconbury attached to the Joint Analysis Center in 1992 when my father sent me Rush Linbaugh's first book. That's when I first heard that phrase. You were six years old.
