They say the best gift to give is one you'd give yourself. (That's how celtmanx ended up with an expresso maker 3-years before I got my own.) Most of these avatars were from pictures I've been collecting for myself, for some future date. A couple are quite new, the majority I've been saving for awhile. One is a personalized version of an old favorite, and another is a brand new acquisition.

I'm so pleased you're thrilled! This is of course Summer Glau as River Tam in Serenity as she becomes mesmerized at the subliminal message embedded in the Fruity Oaty bar commercial. Her face alight with the glow from the plasma screen as all the background noise dulls to complete silence before she utters the single word, "Miranda."

Then she starts kicking some serious ass!

I have struggled to find the words that encapsulate how well this avatar actually fits me. I have worn my online, live journal persona like a homeless man putting on the next available shirt he finds that doesn't smell as bad as the one currently on his back.
Sometimes my commenting moments have been positive and supportive, other times they have been cutting, others still have been glowing and filled with admiration, and my favorite moments are the times when Tomas is left intellectually splayed and exposed.
I guess to sum it up: "I'm the dude playing a dude disguised as another dude". Only Howton knows the REAL Danzigfried, and I believe that is why we are still friends.

Your imagery is as poetic as you are sincere. Thank you sir. Out of the 260 screencaps I took during this scene, I enjoy this one the most, as it shows his brow furrowed in a complex expression of shocked disbelief while simultaneously conveying that though he may not understand what's happening around him, its obvious he disapproves. So subtle. I'm glad you like it.
