Ooh you lucky man you. All I get are visits/calls from Obama constituents, not the man himself. Odd that McCain feels he has to lobby in Texas - could it be any more in his pocket? It's not as if popular vote counts.

I'm so glad I voted early, I'm completely justified in cutting off the solicitor speeches with a "already voted, wasting your breath, kthxbai."

Odd that McCain feels he has to lobby in Texas

My thought exactly - he's already won the Electoral vote. In this case, in voting for him my vote really doesn't count. drax0r and I were discussing our voting strategies yesterday with this in mind.

I get calls from the McCain propaganda machine all the time; I hang up as well. But I only do it because it's from an unintelligent agent (in this case, a machine recording), not the real McCain.

I would love to talk to the real McCain. I have a lot of respect for him, and while I don't know what I'd talk about, it would be a neat experience for me.

I answered my cell, "This is Eric." And a man on a speakerphone asked, "How are you today, sir?"

There was a pause so I asked, "May I ask who's calling please?"

"This is John McCain."

I thought it was a joke, so I hung up. Seconds afterwards, I thought, That sure sounded a lot like John McCain. Then I felt bad. I mean, his time is valuable and I can't imagine he'd want to chat, but I would've at least given him the courtesy of listening!
