Phew. Much better. I was worried La La Land would issue a warning "Due to its irregular shape, Battlestar Galactica Season Three may not function in all (or any) CD players."

I'm really looking forward to hearing the variation on the Will/Laura theme heard in "Unfinished Business" (probably 'First Night,' as the Adama in 'Adama Falls' is probably Lee).

Speaking of which, I hope that 'Admiral and Commander' contains the variation on "Wander My Friends" heard as they part. Hearing that piece of music at that time clued me into what Lee was thinking right then and there.

'Battlestar Sonatica' must the the Base Star theme.

I think I'm looking most forward to Battlestar Sonatica (from what I've read is exactly as you've described it), The Temple of Five (which I hope is the scene where Chief initially walks into the hall, as if being called) and Gentle Execution. You know I'm sucker for those orchestral passages.

Still, there are always lots of surprising goodies in the albums, so I'm sure my new favorites will change many times prior to solidifying.

I'll try to get another signed copy from La La Land. I've been checking daily (the email is generally a day behind the announcement) and I'll post again the moment something pops up so everyone can take advantage of the offer if they so choose.

By the time the series is over, and we'll have five CDs, you could probably fill a disc with beautiful string passages alone.

The Season One album had some great moments, but the Season Two disc was one of the best put together albums of this type I've ever come across; the suite format is very effective and the programming was excellent. And the music evolves and develops; something like "Prelude To War" wouldn't have worked in the first season. I'm really looking forward to Season Three, as I think the show's musical voice has flourished at the same time as McCreary's album production skills have.

Still, there are always lots of surprising goodies in the albums, so I'm sure my new favorites will change many times prior to solidifying.

I agree... there are still moments that come out and hit me from the previous albums, whether it be the intensity of "Battle on the Asteroid" or the menacing stillness of "Something Dark is Coming."

*gigglesnort* It would be interesting if they decided to relase a disc that had it's own player. I wonder how many people would buy it for the novelty of the thing.

P.S. I haven't forgotten about our discussion I've just been so damned busy that I see myself comming back while I'm going.

Sounds like something Sony would do.

Excuse me, but this is SUCH an ERRONEOUS post since I was the first to give you the information on the BSG season 3 soundtrack here.

There's been speculation all over the internet about where and when this would be released. You and I have already had this conversation. The link you sent me last week did not contain the track listing. That's akin to sending me a link which suppositions at some point in time a soundtrack will be released containing, what we assume will me, tracks from the show. That sir, is completely useless to me, and I could come up with that on my own. I rec'd an email dated 9/26 at 1911 hours from La La Land records discussing the release month (as they are the label, I choose to believe them over Amazon). That information is still not on their website - it was email notification only. Now that I have a track listing, and a confirmed date, its news.

I know this question is only tangently related to the sound track being discussed here, but you all are the only BSG geeks I know. Therefore I will ask it here. See I skipped watching season 3 last year because I bought season 1 & 2 on disk and was catching up. I need to buy season 3 on DVD and watch it before season 4 starts so I don't miss out this year. Any rumint on the DVD release date?

I had heard September but that info is now five months old. Then I hear there is some bull shit contract stuff holding up season 3 DVD release. I must get better info. Anyone know anything?

I'm Jones'in for season 3 DVD's real bad. I don't have sex anymore so this is all I have. Please dear god somebody help me!!!!

Thank you kindly for your support and understanding.

If this means your suggesting that I stop making plans to listen to it, you can go fuck yourself. Furthermore, there's nothing you can do to prevent me from doing so.

If it means that you have to plans to (it) - listening implied; I have no idea what that's supposed to mean.

If it means you have no plans to listen to it yourself, I appreciated the effort it took you to go out of your way to inform me of decision.

Thank you.
