EOS Rebel SL1

So after reading far too many online comparative reviews, and reevaluating my own needs (both present and future), I decided on this one (and applied reward points towards it). Its a smaller, less full-featured version of the Rebel T5i, but comes with a lens (for use right away), and saved me an assload of cash.

It arrives Wednesday.

Because I wanted the 0% interest for 12-months, I used Best Buy pricing rather than Amazon pricing (my Amazon card, while fun and easy, doesn't have a stellar APR). The T5i was $649 body only, the SL1 was $499 with the 18-55 STM zoom. I will absolutely still require the f/1.4 50mm lens, but at least I can hit the ground running in the interim.

I wondered about the lens - I absolutely hated my digital SLR until they finally put out a 1.4 single focus lens for my camera. I'm a natural light (and usually low light also) type photo person.

Exactly! The one I want is an additional $349 so will probably wait on that a bit.
