Its been a busy news week, and I was horrified to hear a journalist had been beheaded. Problem is, I can't remember if he was beheaded in Ferguson, Missouri, or the Middle East.
The thing about that situation is that I am sure the truth of what happened between the cop and the deceased lies somewhere along the line of both having behaved recklessly. It cost the kid his physical life, and it cost the cop everything but his physical life. Regardless of how this comes out, life as he knew it is gone for him.
The way the police presence is treating the journalists, besides being unconstitutional, doesn't help the policeman's case. It demonstrates a callous disregard for the laws of our nation, which gives fuel to the protestors assertions of police brutality - and likely a pattern of brutality by the entire department.
