My recent
trip to The Thinker was nothing more than a guise to onboard another feline; Maya (Angelou) from long time best pal
galinda822. Of the two of us, I figure I got the better end of the bargain, but what was immediately apparent was the confusion behind who would now hold the Heavyweight Champion title in this house. Momo (Tubblette), weighing in at an incredible
fat was possibly facing the upset of her titleholder status.
It was approximately three weeks before they were comfortable enough to pose adjacent one another for this hurried snap, but as you can see, the results remain outstanding. I also credit
somebritinmass for the success of this paparazzi capture at the weigh-in; look carefully and you'll spy the imported catnip being defended by the newcomer.
Hopefully, once tensions have settled, I'll be able to get some portrait photos of Ms. Maya.

At least they both look reasonably relaxed!
That's got to be sloth, right? I can't think of any other critter with nails like that.

Of the "three toed" variety if I had to guess.

While Maya does have the huge head and massive feet, I believe Momo wins as she is much longer.
Of course, it could all be an optical illusion! :)
Thank you again for giving Maya an incredible home!

Maya finds the camouflage effect of that particular rug...shall we say, "slimming?" So yes, the entire photograph appears contrived to deceive, something I readily admit, yet not the case.
Since writing this, Maya now seeks me out - vocally if necessary - for lovings. She will come up to me and rub against my legs until I pet her. GBZ can now approach her and lay hands upon her as well, though she's not quite up to making the effort herself.
There is no beef between her and Marko, and the only reason she remains standoffish with Momo is because Momo talks trash to her. very obviously she then has to chase Momo. ITS LIKE STAMPEDING BUFFALO as you can probably imagine; thundering through the house.
All in all, she's acclimating quite nicely!
