and it made a lot of sense because I wasn't one of them.

Then they blamed Chinese wheat farmers and manufacturers,
and it made a lot of sense because I wasn't one of those either.

Then they blamed the top 1% white, heterosexual, rich in the US,
and it made a lot of sense because that wasn't me.

Then they blamed me,
because there was no one left to blame.

You are a one-percenter!!! You have a steady job that you take pride at working hard at. You care how well your children do in school. You attempt to better yourself and those around you. You would not like being on government assistance but if you had too you would but then do your damnedest to get off it as soon as possible and not see it as an entitlement. You do not blame the man for your problems. I could go on and on but you are a one-percenter!!!

Yes, well. Technically it should have been the top .01% but poetic license and all. And does it really matter? Blaming any external group of people isn't a sustainable solution to any problem.

My main point was that you are not like those that would call you a one-percenter. Those people revel in their own ignorance. Like the people that think wearing a Che Guevara t-shirt is cool and hip while being completely ignorant of the fact that he killed unarmed Cuban civilians with his own hands while their families watched.
