You should do books on tape!!! That was great!

Thank you! It wasn't as easy as writing, and there are pro's and con's. For example you cannot as easily highlight or italicize text to drive your point home or use ALL CAPS. But I suppose if your inflection and timbre are right, you wouldn't need to...

Your inflection and timbre were perfect.

Why, thank you for noticing ;)

great post. I might have to get you to do some voice-overs for me in a year or so...

further, you'll be happy to know that because I was not beating it to pR0N while listening to your post, the old boy was flaccid.

That's funny about Pixar. We should have more like them.

Thanks for that.

At no point did I ask or suggest that the word 'flaccid' be used in any of MY posts. Only [livejournal.com profile] danzigfried's journal.

Glad you liked the Pixar bit. Sounded funny at the time when I dreamed it up - but then I was suffering from exhaustion.

HA! We were just talking about this!

If you are referring to the voice overs, then no. This thread referred to other projects.

If you are referring to me whacking it to p0rN, we have NEVER had that discussion.

If you are referring to Pixar, you need to put the blunt down. We did not discuss that either.

Well...audio books anyway.
Date/Time: 2008-03-26 01:09 (UTC)Posted by: [identity profile] schpydurx.livejournal.com
When did we ever discuss audio books?
Date/Time: 2008-03-26 01:34 (UTC)Posted by: [identity profile] ehowton.livejournal.com
Jesus H. Christ! Yesterday - we talked for an hour...on the phone? Alexander Graham Bell? He invented the telephone? Does, "ring, ring" ring any bells? You were telling me about a script - you spent two hours discussing it; the legalities of a podcast, but thought you'd spend all day - because you're one verbose motherfucker? I told you I'd like to be the reader? You thought that would be good casting? You had some ideas about which characters because you've read his short mystery? WTF were you smoking while we talked? Does any of this sound familiar?

The idea wasn't to make an audio book but rather mimic a radio broadcast; I don't consider the two the same for two reasons:

1. An audio book is just the narration.
2. The source material is being re-written and will only resemble the original novellas.

And to date you've done neither. Bravo.

It's a "work-in-progress".

"Life" is a work-in-progress. The sooner you realize this and start enjoying the here and now, your dreams will come to you.

I am enjoying the "here and now" and am working towards my dreams in my spare time. The trouble is, I don't have any spare time!
