This is the chair I bought in 2007 and subsequently have been sitting in up to 18-hours a day as a result of the working-from-home learning curve. And while I initially wanted the Herman Miller I really couldn't justify the cost without first trying on something intermediate. So off it was to compare Office[Max/Depot] where I discovered a wide variety of the same Chinese chair.

This is nothing more than the one I settled upon, the leather Serta Executive:

Now THAT is a work-from-home, playing Wizard 101 chair. Appropriate for the Command Module. Captains Picard and Janeway would no doubt be proud to sit their butts in such an elegant and comfy piece furniture.

Further inspection reveals they're bunnies. Dust bunnies to be specific.

Thank you ma'am. Funny thing about the rating system at Office[Max/Depot] was the "hours" designator. One chair was rated at 4 hours, another six. This chair was rated at 8. None however, had a "16+" rating :(

We've always had decent seating at work, but when I started working from home, I no longer had access to those :(

And thanks! They had a black one too, but it was a smoother finish on the leather. I preferred the more tonal and textured one as well.
