Sometimes I think I'm blessed not through grace, but because I'm so freaking awesome. How else could one possibly explain this? I know that Texans are proud, but damn can you blame us? LOOK HOW COOL THIS IS? They say Texas is God's country. This is surely such a sign, because I really don't deserve it, yet here we are, and I've been waiting one-hundred and one years for this moment:



Since my boy was being a butthead, I invited his friends over to spend the night and stay up play video games with me. We had a blast, yes, even my son. Loaded the `Asian Dynasty` expansion for Age of Empires III which was just great, immeasurable fun (my boy and I were disappointed they omitted Korea though), the kids had a double-length pre-testing class for taekwondo belt-testing this coming Saturday. This evening he and I watched The Forbidden Kingdom. 30-seconds into it he quips, "So this is where you got that music." THAAAAAT'S my boy...

And giving credit where credit is due, I used scottchurch's photo tip (NSFW) which helped me take my beer photo. Thanks!

heh - kidlets. Yeah, I had a blast. We're going to have a busy week that's for sure, and a busy weekend too, but I'm going to try my damnedest to fit more in!

Ha! They probably don't think so! But seriously, I just want to try to get them to experience as much as possible, as I was taught by my father before me. They've had to memorize the tenants of taekwondo (courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, indomitable spirit) and it always THRILLS me (me more than them) to be able to provide real-world examples of how we can apply them in our own lives ;)

they're wonderful principles to live by :) kids never realize at the time how amazing certain things are but they'll realize it looking back *hugs you*

I drank one last night, and wept. Tears of joy & happiness overwhelmed me. I seek ways to incorporate it into my life.

Hey! You know what just dawned on me? Maybe you ought to come over late on Saturday night and help me spank those boys? Have you played Age of Empires III? When you get here I'll load you up with the "Asian Dynasties" expansion. Maybe allocate 90-minutes to watch The Forbidden Kingdom with me?

As awesome as that sounds, I don't think I will be able to do it this Saturday :( We have my nephews birthday party Saturday afternoon in Ft Worth and then I plan on taking Glodowg out on a date that evening to the Dallas Symphony!
