It really doesn't matter what you do, as long as you try - and its essential to try your hand at many things, for discovering what you're good at is just as important as discovering at what you suck.
I'm finding that I have a gift with words. I might add that your posts over the years have increased my vocabulary and have taught me a thing or two about writing patterns, particularly the use of the short sentence both as a visual aid and to punch a dramatic moment. You've also helped me in my studies of trigger words.
The thing that sucks about writing is the lack of tone. Without proper context, the same grouping and arrangement of words can mean drastically different things. For instance, go back two of my comments (the one with the Fight Club avatar). The point of that comment was to melodramatically via language say something rather innocent, yet at the same time it could be construed as being very hateful.
