I don't keep copies of all 2000 of my CD's in my car either, but I sure enjoying listening to CD's while I drive - I just swap them out every once in awhile. Just like the mp3's on my iPod ;)

I've been doing the same at work lately. I have an ihome to go that I was taking to work so I could listen to my ipod while I work (no headphone in our department), but the cord broke so I've been bringing 6 or 7 CDs every day. I do miss my ipod though...

I have asked for an external hard drive for Christmas. That way I can keep my entire itunes library on it and plug it in whereever. The home PC is dying and I have only put one or two of the newest CDs in my itunes library. Thus the CDs at work are allowing me to listen to my new stuff.

Don't make the mistake I first made - I had my external drive formatted HFS and when I needed a Windows machine to read it, it couldn't! I use FAT32 for all my iTunes needs these days, as the iPods can be read from both OSX and Windows.

May Santa bless you with a 1TB redundant external storage array!

1TB may be a bit overkill. The ipods than Cyn and I have are 80GB so I'm hoping for 120 - 320GB. That way I can store the itunes library and still have some room left over.

Yeah, she rocks. I'm going to scrap the streaming playlist idea and replace it with a 'Pirate Playlist' on the device itself. Also, while catttitude is interested in HGTV episodes and the such for her device, it just dawned on me I'll be able to put a sizeable porn collection on mine. God that's hot.
