This soundtrack is awesome. I can't get enough of it. It is so moving, so touching, so exciting! Of course having just watched the season finale again, I'm sure the excitement is still present everywhere else within me.
Come to think of it, I like this soundtrack so much, I am now running a SHOUTcast stream from teh max0r to my SPARC box in Texas which is broadcasting it. That'll do pig, that'll do. I knew I was smarter than "...the only way to stream iTunes is via a PVC..."
There is a track entitled Battlestar Operatica which is, in the finest tradition of Italian opera, a really well done and beautiful operatic aria...In Italian even! As I am fan of the genre, I was moved at how well this composer, Bear McCreary was able to, in this day and age, embody the soul of the great composers Puccini, Verdi, Donizetti and yet still create a non-classical kick-ass score. Most of us who enjoy opera, do not understand Italian. The lyrics aren't what we're after. In the aforementioned beautifully haunting aria, the producers were kind enough to both print, and translate the Italian for us. I present to you, the English lyrics to Battlestar Operatica
I wanted to get some sleep, but SHOUTcast doesn't just compile itself, and this isn't some x86 linux hack where I run both the trans and serv off the same server...granted, that usually does work right out of the box. I also updated http://quark.darkvoyager.com with some more links, and for me, more links means more banners, so I had to create a handful of them this evening as well. I'm off to bed. And to all, a good night!

Woe upon your Cylon heart There's a toaster in your head And it wears high heels Number Six calls to you The Cylon Detector beckons Your girlfriend is a toaster Woe upon your Cylon heart Alas, disgrace! Alas, sadness and misery! The toaster has a pretty dress Red like its glowing spine Number Six whispers By your command
