A toe in the sand
On a beach of white
Hints of purity
Atop a ring of ice

Titan father of Zeus
Walking on planetary bands
Vexing naysayers
With nary a plan

Further distancing
Linear travel project
Destination unnecessary
Escaping mankind's mess

Cold and alone now
On a bare stone floor
The land's been raped
Mother's little whore

Eons away
Peace comes at last
Unceremoniously deposited
Life's last grasp

Entertaining thyself
With one's own mind
Distractions cease
Everything's just fine

The silence is deafening on this one...
I think most of us prefer the shallow end of the pool so to speak and don't always know how to digest and respond to your deeper stuff.

Me I like your deeper stuff, but I am still reading this thing three times a day trying to figure out if it there are hidden masturbation references that I am not getting.

This one is void of that particular subject matter.

You know I generally don't read your poetry, not because of the author but because I don't want take the time to "get" it and because as a general rule I don't like poetry (unless it's lyrical e.x. Robert Frost's Nothing Gold Can Stay). Goot beat be to commenting, but I do actually have something to say about this post. Great music selection. I've been listenting to it heavily the past couple of days. It's gotten me out of my funk.

Yes, well I owe the selection to you, and I told you it was good for writing poetry! Did you get a chance to enjoy The Illusionist? Another fantastic selection.

Yes, I listen to The Illusionist at night mostly. I like to put it on when I'm going to bed.
