Building out a new datacenter in a schmantzy building with a "cone of silence" bio-metric mantrap and four-levels of security. Its pretty cool, but the 16-hours days are quite exhausting.

I've been responsible this trip for installing the VMware ESX hosts and teaching myself NIC-bonding and learning how to apply VLAN-tagging to virtual interfaces on Red Hat Enterprise Linux (hint: its very similar to how we used to do it in Solaris.)

NIC bonding: do you use latex for this endeavor?

I'll soon be a student of computer networking. I still have to get through this and summer semester, but I'll be able to follow in whester's footsteps and attend Athens State where one may obtain a BS in Computer Networking.

I'm THRILLED that people like you exist - I would swallow my own tongue if I had to be a network engineer, nonetheless, its a very important job and integral to any environment.

Yeah, I'm a fan of box wine. I *say* it's because of the ability of just having one glass and it staying fresh. But who am I kidding? I'm cheap and I never drink just one glass.

Yeah, my ex-boyfriend was a chef and, of course, a wine connoisseur. I am very much a foodie and *love* wine.

Pre-kids I would drop $30 or so on wine every night (that was the low end...but still). Now, due to quantity needed and thriftiness I have downgraded to usually a double bottle of Australian something or other.

I've almost burned off my taste buds enough with the stuff to not mind it too much....
