22-days since beer, 22-days since tobacco/nicotine. 20-days of adding anaerobic to my cardio. I've oft-read that lifting is good for the over-forty crowd (and helps us guys with maintaining spectacular levels of testosterone) but outside of push-ups and the occasional standing curl (which I hate), not really doing much along those lines.
Until my son expressed interested in weight-lifting. So I thought, "Why not?" I gotta say, I LOVE the Preacher Bench. No more standing curls. Quite a few changes to my life which effortlessly integrate this into my lifestyle. Not drinking beer is not only saving me untold calories and cash, I've discovered I have a lot more free time, and a lot more free energy. All good things.
I'm digging it.
