AnimeCon

Took the kids to the 10th Annual Anime Festival Wichita at the spacious Hyatt Regency Downtown, where I was only peripherally able to identify some of the many colorful (and in various states of undress) characters from Naruto, Fairy Tail and Full Metal Alchemist.

I also introduced my children to convention "panels" and suggested they sit in on as many as possible. While we weren't there nearly as long as I thought we'd be (the kids grew tired after about 5 hours) they did manage to sit in on a live demonstration of samurai sword-fighting, voice acting for video games and anime, and part of a cosplay competition.

I was also impressed at how well they handled their individual expenditures given the fantastic amount of purchasable goods which were displayed :D
