HUGS

Texas. 'Lo, there do I see my father, and his father before him. The line of my people, back to the beginning. 'Lo, they do call to me. They bid me take my place among them. I am home. I haven't seen my parents in just over a year. There were lots of hugs.

drax0r showed up later that evening bearing a liter bottle of Buffalo Trace bourbon. There were lots of hugs. We killed the bottle catching up, retiring at 0400. We brought jesskd26 and their son over to my folks the next day for lunch and dinner, having a great visit in between the eating.

The next day I visited with celtmanx and his son and new 4-month-old bebe. We had a nice lunch of Chipotle. It was fantastic. There were lots of hugs.

Then, two equally important things happened simultaneously:

• I discovered I start work tomorrow


• drax0r lost his house

I thought I had another week before I started work, and I thought I had a place to live. I've just been bum-rushed. I just feel like I've run out of time. I start work and drax0r and I are looking into renting a GIGANTIC house for the two families to reside in until we each are ready to move; this rental in itself being a difficult task since I'm still paying a mortgage. *sigh* I know it will all work out, it always does - I just don't have the details on exactly how its going to work out just yet.

Jane, my new boss, is very excited I'm back. There's going to be lots of hugs tomorrow.
