I'm at the point where I turned over my newest humidor to my wife for her use now that I've retrieved mine from the tender loving care of [livejournal.com profile] celtmanx who was watching out for my best interests during my period of transistion to STL - thanks dude. Of course we all know how it feels to have a mostly empty humidor. *sigh* Now it's time to go shopping. I moved a dozen or so of my wife's cigars into her box (plus a few of my cubans if you must know the truth - she cheated by trading sexual favors for them). For her, I'm ordering 50 honey Flor De Filipinas and for myself, 50 Paso Doble Lonsdale size, a cigar travel pack (for D.C. in October) and some humidor solution. [livejournal.com profile] photogoot; if I encase a couple of cubans in a tied-balloon and carry them rectally to D.C. for our smoking pleasure, which ones above interest you? (As a gentle reminder, I didn't let you have my Montecristo three years ago, and you still can't have it!) My wife also wants another humidor - this one:

But I just don't see it the cards, especially since I just gave her my barrell humidor. How many do we need? She thinks this one looks nice.

*eyeroll*

Around the corner I have a friend,
In this great city that has no end;

Yet days go by, and weeks rush on,
And before I know it a year is gone,
And I never see my old friend's face,
For life is a swift and terrible race.

He knows I like him just as well
As in the days when I rang his bell
And he rang mine. We were younger then,
And now we are busy, tired men:
Tired with playing a foolish game,
Tired with trying to make a name.

"Tomorrow," I say, "I will call on Jim,
Just to show I am thinking of him."
But tomorrow comes - and tomorrow goes,
And the distance between us grows and grows.

Around the corner! - yet miles away...
"Here's the telegram, Sir...
'Jim died today'."

And that's what we get, and deserve in the end:
Around the corner, a vanished friend.
