I was restless when I walked into her office. When I asked about her day she replied, "Grumpy" (or grouchy, I don't remember which). I was sure that would make for an interesting (if not lively) session. As it turned out however, we ended up calming one another with our back-and-forth. The fact I was sipping a pumpkin-spice dirty chai latte (with two extra shots) is likely not immaterial (and brought her her usual vanilla chai latte). We settled into our roles and began.
Her grumpiness (or grouchiness, I don't remember which) was due to the inconsideration of others (a client in this case), so we reviewed stoicism. She then let me know she did indeed speak to her intern Lindsey on my account (and would again at my request). Conversation then turned to Jennifer's recent Ayahuasca event (akin to a far more powerful sweat lodge), visiting my son and grandson in Topeka, then Cass' inexplicable reply to answering her question: "On a very basic level this is her way of feeling desired by her still having the effect on you - I don't really want you but i don't really want anyone else to have you. If that happens I lose the attention or knowing you would do anything for me - This is what people call playing mind games. I hope that she figures out what she wants."
She didn't have a client after me, so we sat and visited another 20-minutes before we concluded the session. Later I texted her that I felt empowered after our session, and she texted back that I enlighten and challenge her :D
