Brought Rachel with me to therapy in office. She knows of Rachel mostly through
Rather than start with the usual suspects, I told Tess I'd actually met someone online, in Nebraska. Tess, being aware of my requirements (for lack of a better word), seemed surprised. First thing she asked was, "Have you told her about Jennifer and Cass?" I explained I would disclose everything, because of course I would, and reiterated my theory that were I able to enter into an emotional connection with someone, it would be instrumental is severing the emotional connection Cass seemingly holds on me. Just a theory mind you, but I'm excited to test it at some point in practical application - because even I have no idea of what I am capable of being able to express once free. This led me to once again gush about Jennifer's new guy and how exceedingly happy I was for her - wanted for her - and how so many beautiful, articulate women are cheering me on to find mine...despite it never being them.
I told Tess that Jennifer had seemed out-of-sorts lately and that we we've been trying to schedule a call when Tess asked, "Why hasn't she called me?"
"I assume she doesn't want to interrupt your day by calling unannounced."
Tess became almost wistful, looked away, and said softly, "I wish she would interrupt my day by calling unannounced." (aw).
She then looked at me and said, "So when are you going to Nebraska?"
