"Who'd you give my address to?" He asked.
"My mother."
"Your mother?"
"She wanted to send you a card for your wedding. Did you get a card from my mother?"
"No."

One of my guys came into my office this morning...
"Will you take me to pick up my car I left at the dealership this morning for service [some 20 miles away]?"
"No."
"I'll buy you Chipotle for lunch."
"Let's go."
Made eggplant parmesan for the first time in three years or so. Time is a funny thing. Anyway, I found a recipe which reversed what I usually do - this once called for dredging the goods through flour prior to coating it with egg. I'd always done the egg first to make the flour stick. I tried this new way and whoa! Came out much crisper. I was going to link to the new recipe online, but never got around to writing it up last night, and am composing this post a mere half hour before I go home. Nothing like waiting until the last minute...
And lastly, I've finally got ampache installed. I had to go in and create the MySQL table & users by hand (those of you who know me know I hate that) but now all I have to do is populate it. If your eyes haven't glazed over yet, this should give me the ability to create an online, searchable, play-on-demand database of my entire iTunes library. Cool, I know. Unfortunately, I have close to 2000 physical CD's which I haven't ripped. Regardless of that fact, I do have nearly 50GB of mp3's.
/dev/disk3s10 149G 48G 101G 32% /Volumes/iTunes
First of all, I don't know how to export a filesystem in darwin. I was trying to think up BSD ways (all I could come up with was 'exportfs' (from my HP/UX days back when HP/UX was like BSD - hell, even BSD isn't like BSD anymore - anyway, that didn't work) so I've got to research that. I'm hoping to just NFS mount my iTunes directory to my Solaris box, but I don't know yet if that way will provide the best performance. I really haven't looked at it much.
Here's the new hotness. If you'd like a password, let me know in a comment.

yep, also, if the item to be fried isn't quite so fresh, you can lower the cooking temp, cook it prolly around 30% longer, and double coat it (flour, egg/batter mixture, flour, egg/batter, then fry). I do this _alot_ with my cooking (tempura and katsu mostly). Also, adding alittle potato or cornstarch will help prevent it from getting soggy if you've got several batches.

Glad you're enjoying the music I shared with you. I figured after all the music you've introduced me to that it was time for me to return the favor.
Ampache - too cool! Yes, please provide me a password - pretty please! :)
