Life
I was driving into work this morning remembering when my children liked nothing more than being pulled around the acreage in Texas in their little red wagon. It was very boring for me to cart them around the house and around the backyard in their wagon, but they really enjoyed it, so that's what I did. Today, I really missed the simplicity of that. I never thought I'd be one of those parents who 'looked back' with fondness & longing. I guess I was wrong.

I was at work late yesterday, so for giggles I booted the UX280P with my external laptop drive installation of kubuntu via USB. It made my naughty-bits tingle logging in. How very cool. Of course with the tether to the external drive, its functionality becomes greatly limited (unless I were to install it directly to the device) but way fun anyway - ubuntu handles wireless very well, and it was just fun to play with it, despite that I had nothing really to do with it once it was up and running.

One thing I know I'll miss in the future is checking on the kid before I go to bed.... ahhh...
How can we know joy if we don't know sorrow.
Being a good parent is being selfless, and that is where the joy comes from.

I've always heard parents say that kids grow up to quick. I guess you're finding out it's true.
Glad you were able to find something to keep you occupied last night while being stuck at work!

Simplicity is fleeting. Its sad.
Maybe it's because due to today's sophistication, we try a more complex solution first.

The little Vaio thingy is kool... I sorta like Vaio. Aside from the fact that they cost so stinkin' much.
Got my computer back so I'm officially an XP brat. Lisa yelled at me through Dad and said I have to much shit on the computer. *frown* No I dont... she only thinks I do because she rebooted it from a really old "floppy" she had of our basic set up files. And at that time I DID have to much stuff on it, but since then (2 yr) I've learned how to not have so much stuff... if that makes sense. *frown* I dont know whatever. Unless she SHOWS me what the flip she's talking about I dont know. I mean the woman could be scolding me for having one to many music files on here or somthing. Which btw I dont even KEEP music on this pc... grrr...*scowl* Whatever. Everytime we go down there, she yells at me for somthing. And it's always stuff I didn't do!!
If I told Tomas he'd "yell" at me to and tell me "well you probably DO have to much shit on your computer! Remember a little bit of knowledge is very dangerous!!"
Grrr...
However. I'm happy to have my computer back. Oviously since I'm on it at this late hour.
Also doing homework and eating chicken. Yummy. *grin*

The UX280P is $2000.
Congratulations on getting your computer back.
Tomas is a little high-strung.
Grrr...
I know you are. Your life is now complete again.
Wife made a fantastic dinner today which included chicken as well.
Have a good night.

I went to class awhile ago and Mike (student) was walking around having everyone guess his weight, then writing it down and going to the next guy. He did me someplace in the middle (be nice) and I nailed it. He was floored. Couldnt understand how I could have guessed his weight and height that specifically. Even went so far as to ask if I had secretly talked to a family member to find out his physical measurements. *laugh*
Told him no... I just got talent.

I'll have to ask my future wife about this.

Sign of a true friend is if they will be truely honest with you about both your good personality traits and your bad.
