New Toy
Just got a new toy in the office, the Sony Vaio UX280P. What a sweet piece of work!

It's a full version of Windows XP (which is far less gay than say, Media Center or PocketPC) in a widescreen format with built-in wireless/bluetooth/USB, full docking station & portable port replicator. This little puppy has a full gigabyte of RAM and a 1.2GHz Intel Core Solo chip. This little thing is with a quickness! Of course the first thing I did was install Firefox.
And now, for something completely different, and taking a page out of the book of
irulan_amy, I am on Second Life as London Packbiers. Yes, they have a Mac client.

I am pleased to see they have apparently greatly improved the unit. Though frankly I think that price is outrageous for what you get. Pretty thing though.

Laptops are not as expensive and I actually have a faint idea of how to run it... whereas with this thing I wouldnt have the faintest clue! :-P
