Happenings Around Texas
onthetrails has an open tech position in Sherman, just North of Anna.
drax0r has been training to be a mixed-martial arts "cage fighter" and I've been promoting an Exhibition Fight in my backyard - so far the response has been positive and we're going to have quite a turnout. I'm going to buy a bunch of folding chairs and we're all going to take turns smacking him with them. Please let me know if you're interested in fighting
drax0r for training purposes, or showing up to watch the scrimmage.
- For those of you who don't know
drax0r he's like the Nacho Libre of UFC. In that regard, if anyone has a luchador mask or stretchy-pants we can borrow for the fight, please bring them.
Dodge, duck, dip, dive and...dodge!

And may I assume you also gave me the courtesy of viewing my link? Or did you simply respond to one of your own out of poor taste?

I thought they disgraced James Horner's The Mask of Zorro score. The trailer reeks of small budget, poorly executed indie "I'm going against the grain and made a unwatchable film." air. And I don't like Black's affectatious Spanish accent. In short, what I saw in the trailer was bad acting, bad filmmaking, attempts at slapstick and inane comedy--all those things that I hate and you love about film.
Regarding The Weatherman the whole point of the film is that Michael Caine's character knew what it takes to make a family work but also knew that his son had to figure it out on his own. Nicolas Cage's character was too stupid to see why he failed and at the end of the film was left unchanged. I think The Weatherman is an important film warning how not to live your life.
You're pissed over The Fountain because you had no clue what to expect, despite the fact that I urged you to see Requiem for a Dream first. Had you done this, you would have known going in what kind of a filmmaker Aronofsky is and would have been prepared for an introspective film that fit together perfectly and could only be expressed as the conglomeration of the parts as no one idea could be discussed without referencing the others in the film. It is for this reason that I never could properly review the film because for me, it was a rotating triangle built upon the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle.

Thank you.

Sometimes a man wears stretchy-pants.
I think The Weatherman is an important film warning how not to live your life.
I do not. I do not think its important at all, for any reason other than I stated. There is no guaranteed recipe for success. Look at your life - you've seen the film. You know what not to do. Yet your life still sucks? What went wrong? Exactly.

I don't have time for such antics.

I'm not married, I don't have children and I'm not neglecting my family to improve my career.
I don't have time for such antics.
It's not an antic, it's an art form. This is why no one cares what you say about film. You're irrelevant.

Some people smear their own fecal matter on canvas and call it art. I do not. This does not make me irrelevant. Its called an opinion, and truly the only ones who are close-minded are those who do not value another's.

Jesus used parables. You must think him a babbling idiot. To draw from one of his examples, please remove the 7-masted schooner from your own ass before attempting to pluck the splinter from mine.
I don't know what fuels your unfettered antagonism, but perhaps you should focus your ire there? I would be angry if I were as continuously grumpy as you always seems to be.
Stress less, dude.
