Branching Logic

Is the world non-linear, which would explain why I am able to so deftly manipulate it? Or does my radiant thinking give me the ability to break the world's linear structure into parts for examination and rearrangement? I have often been accused of stating conditional statements unconditionally, but that's only because I experience time differently than you do - I see no absolutes. Branching logic isn't just taking in and digesting the thousand points of light from a rapidly expanding spider pyrotechnic hundreds of feet in the night sky, its also applying all those scenarios to learn from your mistakes. The purpose of learning from your mistakes is of course, to not repeat them.

Branching logic–the stuff if is made of–is still linear, though it is possible that the elliptic curves you see are so elliptical that they are straight. Taniyama–Shimura–Weil proved that.

In quantum mechanics, the observer and the system being observed became mysteriously linked so that the results of any observation seemed to be determined in part by actual choices made by the observer. This situation is represented by the wave function, a function in the complex domain that contains information about both the cosmos at large and the observer's apparent state of knowledge.

Naturally, masters of sci-fi have taken the concept and run with it.

I will do the same. :-) If an observer could maintain all the branches of thought without deciding on one (observation) until it best suited the situation, then wouldn't he be creating reality?

Thank you. However, attempting to maintain all branches simultaneously is outside my ability - in so much as each time I reach into the heavens to pick, or slide one star representing a variable in my many equations into another piece of the cosmic scenario chain, the tiny eddies begun by my simple maneuver ripple throughout the expanse forever, altering its original placement.

But it never stops me from trying.
