MUSE!BANG

Your ideas, give them to me. I want to take your picture. That is to say, I want to take a picture for you (or of you, if you're localish). Of anything. Tell me what you want a photograph of - it can be as vague or as specific as you like, and it will challenge me to shoot something unexpected.

You are my muses. I need you to step up to the plate. It can be as silly or as serious as you want, but I need some help getting my creative juices flowing.

I look forward to seeing what you come up with!

P.S. This means you.

Right now.

Thanks.

Although I hear them every night (Go Anna Coyotes!) I've thankfully never seen a coyote. I do have an idea about your second suggestion...

something hot pink.

A silhouette.

Oooooh - something very similar, but less specific was mentioned on Twitter by [livejournal.com profile] irulan_amy...Pulling this off fascinates me!

The lengths I'll go to for a shot - a glass cutting board sitting atop four olive oil bottles with a desk lamp underneath it, and a taped paper backdrop:

Best part? I GOT TO DRINK THE PROPS!

Hrm.

Hrm.

Yes...hot pink.

Okay! Thanks.

I've spoken to the aptly named [info]nicetwins (see above) about showing them to me during our little outing next week for just this purpose.

Hey, if killing a two birds with a single stone involves boobies, sign me up!

I'll let you know how it goes, its not the picture-taking part that might be the deal-breaker, rather the uncontrolled dissemination of the final product.

I can provide you with SSH login to an encrypted drive if that alleviates any fears.

[identity profile] schpydurx.livejournal.com 2010-06-30 10:26 pm (UTC)(link)
Just think, had I not made my suggestion, you wouldn't be thinking about killing two birds with one stone and it involving boobies. Who's your muse?

[identity profile] schpydurx.livejournal.com 2010-06-30 10:28 pm (UTC)(link)
Now that's hardcore.

[identity profile] ehowton.livejournal.com 2010-07-01 01:05 am (UTC)(link)
I will not - just to be clear - ever - place my finger in any of your orifices.

That is all.

Anything which can be viewed on the web, can be saved locally :/

NICE!

Thanks! Any ideas for a picture for you?

[identity profile] panacea42.livejournal.com 2010-07-01 02:54 am (UTC)(link)
Hmmmm, a few ideas:

the obvious: more kitties! Kitties kitties kitties! I know, been there done that, but they are so fascinating

the frustratingly abstract: the concept of love, how you would express it with a photograph, could be anything

the sensible: as a fan of architecture, a photo of your favorite building; or scenery, or landscape, something you find that makes you feel *inspired* just by seeing it (in NYC this happens all the time, the smallest and most utilitarian of minutiae can be so beautiful or moving).

the specific: 1) an amazing moon 2) a train, if any are nearby (why? I'm not sure, I just like trains, and Atlas Shrugged has reinforced that) 3) go to your favorite street, walk out in the middle of it (be sure not to get hit!) and take a shot up and/or down it

the nude: I have to agree with [livejournal.com profile] schpydurx, I think you would come up with a stunning interpretation in that realm (provided it would not cause any problems relationship-wise)...my current favorite is my friend David's work (NSFW, obviously): http://davidagasi.com/home/portfolio/nude

Hope this helps!

I am quite impressed with the dedication. :D

Hehe, I was going to suggest food coloring in water. :D

[identity profile] irulan-amy.livejournal.com 2010-07-01 04:47 am (UTC)(link)
Hmmm, my ideas may be a little dull, but it's things I have fun photographing:

- A bursting water balloon
- Sparklers
- All manner of peeling / aging / rusting objects
- Epitaphs
- Store signs
- Macros of pretty much anything

[identity profile] thesweetestnote.livejournal.com 2010-07-01 04:49 am (UTC)(link)
For some reason I am reminded of the bar in the Mos Eisley Cantina.

[identity profile] ehowton.livejournal.com 2010-07-01 05:15 am (UTC)(link)
Happy to oblige. After all, that wine wasn't going to drink itself!

[identity profile] ehowton.livejournal.com 2010-07-01 05:16 am (UTC)(link)
...if only.

*wistful*

Its difficult, without a lot of natural lighting, to get high-quality (read low-ISO) shots with a fast enough shutter.

Besides, my wife caught me mid-drop and read me the riot act for "wasting" her food coloring. Indeed!

[identity profile] ehowton.livejournal.com 2010-07-01 05:22 am (UTC)(link)
Listen, why don't you wait out by the speeder. We don't want any trouble.

THIS. But on photo/s. :)
