Yes it is "quirty" but... The QWERTY keyboard gets its name from the first six letters on the top left, above the home keys. The "Q" key, followed by the "W" key, the "E" key, the "R" key, the "T" key, and lastly, the "Y" key. "QWERTY." And its almost always all capitalized, as an accurate representation of the keys.
