In other news...

Going to sleep all hopped-up on Vicodin is interesting not because of the depth of dreams it gives me, rather, that it masks them as memories. I now have memories of activities which never took place, and people I never knew.

The best part of my day? Uninstalling the Opera web browser and replacing it with Safari Beta 3. Much better. Thanks for the tip, [livejournal.com profile] drax0r

Speed- Opera has the most efficient caching system on the planet. In fact, that was its claim to fame.

Furthermore, if you're downloading a file, while you're piddling around finding a place to put it, the transfer is occurring in the background.

RSS feeds- Opera has had a built in newsreader since at least version five. That was seven years ago. RSS was added upon standard implementation.

Auto forms- Wand can fill out forms for you as well. The added bonus is that as a password manager, you can save a list of passwords for a specific site that sit encrypted on your hard drive and choose which un/pw combo you want to use by pressing Ctrl + Enter.

Just thought I'd mention it.

It just dawned on me what browser you would really like. I shit you not. It's 10x faster than Opera, and I use it daily. elinks (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elinks).

Go chew on that.

I actually kinda like that browser from what I see.

'Tis truly an amazing thing. AND...its cross-platform like nothing you've ever seen before. Its predecessor, Lynks is the only known browser to be platform independent. e.g., It will run on anything.

but this is Lynks on steroids.
