That which ebbs, also tides. I am only sleeping every other day, and I don't know why. I haven't had a bout of this as bad since STL. God, but this does occasionally suck. On the days it doesn't, it freaking ROCKS.

For Christmas my wife and I purchased a Playskool My First Blu-Ray Player - aka Vizio. We were looking for a Netflix media server once our DirecTV contract ran out, but Vizio included that in their Blu-Ray player for the same price as a media server alone. Its not a very good standard-def DVD player, but it plays Blu-Rays exceptionally well, a distinction I do not yet understand.

Speaking of Blu-Ray, I'd always assumed Serenity was going to be my first. It was my second as it turned out, the first being the bargin-bin $8 Trick 'R Treat which I was familiar with only because of [livejournal.com profile] dawaioser was awesome enough to post clips on her blog. Rock on!

I just spent 45 minutes on the phone with MADCATZ who are shipping me a left-shift-key which should be here in a week or so. And I did ask them about a mechanical MILSPEC back-lit keyboard to which he replied, "Maybe its in the works," as he was not allowed not confirm.

And as if this were not enough, I somehow injured myself - shin splints. I've NEVER HAD SHIN SPLINTS. Since I've been working from home and NOT doing things like...anything, ever (I don't shower and get dressed in the mornings, I don't drive to work, I don't bullshit with co-workers) I instead walk. I walk between half and hour and an hour a day. I even have an Elmer Fudd hat for the more Kansas-like weather (read fucking cold and windy). I've done this nearly everyday since we moved. Until this week. Because of shin splints. I thought you were supposed to gradually fall apart once you turned 40!
